Sometimes a tooth needs to be removed due to severe decay, infection, crowding, or trauma. At Lumi Dental our experienced team performs tooth extractions gently and efficiently, with a focus on minimising discomfort and promoting fast healing. IV sedation is available if you prefer to sleep through the procedure. We also offer same-day emergency extractions for patients in acute pain.

We offer same-day provisional crowns for implant patients so you never leave without a tooth. Emergency appointments available. Temporary dentures made on-site for patients undergoing implant treatment.
Monday to Wednesday 8am–5pm, Thursday 8am–8pm, Friday 8am–5pm, Saturday 10am–5pm, Sunday by appointment. Located at Melrose Central with free undercover parking. Accessible by bus and close to major motorways.
The area is numbed with local anaesthetic so you feel no pain during the procedure. For simple extractions, the tooth is loosened and removed in one piece. Surgical extractions (for impacted or broken teeth) may require a small incision. We use dissolvable stitches where needed. Recovery typically takes a few days. We provide detailed aftercare instructions including pain management, diet guidance, and what to watch for. Replacement options (implants, bridges, dentures) can be discussed at the same appointment.
