Welcome to Lumi

Designed around how a visit should feel

Lumi Dental opened on the lower ground floor of Melrose Central in 2026. We planned every room from scratch, with warm timber, soft light and space to sit down and talk before anything happens in the chair.

Your dentist and oral health therapist work from the same plan, every patient has the same examination, photos and scans, and you get the costs in writing before you decide anything.

Arriving

We are on the lower ground floor of Melrose Central, beside the escalators. Parking in the centre is free and undercover.

Reception and lounge

Sofas, sheer curtains and a quiet place to settle in. If you are feeling nervous, tell reception and we will go at your pace.

Consult room

A room for talking through your options and costs at a desk, away from the dental chair. We use models and your own photos and scans to explain.

Treatment rooms

Each room has a screen beside the chair, so we can show you your X-rays, photos and scans as we go.

Imaging room

OPG and 3D X-rays are taken here on site, so there is no separate trip to a radiology clinic.

Sterilisation room

Instruments are cleaned and sterilised after every patient in a dedicated room, in line with the Dental Board of Australia infection control guidelines.

In-house lab

A small lab on site where we 3D print models, surgical guides and some appliances.

Recovery room

A private space to rest after IV sedation, before you head home with the person collecting you.

Clinical photography

Photos are part of every new patient visit, so you can see what we see and we can compare changes over time.

How we work

What you can expect from every visit

Time to explain

New patient visits are a full 60 minutes. We show you what we see and talk it through before anything is decided.

Costs in writing

You get a written plan with the costs set out. We claim on the spot with your health fund, so you only pay the gap.

Nervous patients welcome

Tell us when you book and we will allow extra time. IV sedation is available for larger treatment.

One plan, one team

Your dentist and oral health therapist work from the same plan, so nothing gets lost between visits.

Hours that fit

Open Monday to Saturday, until 9pm on Thursdays, and Sundays by appointment.

Kinder materials

Latex-free and amalgam-free, with digital scans in place of most impression trays.
