Twilight sedation is a form of IV conscious sedation that places you in a deeply relaxed, drowsy state � sometimes described as being "half asleep." At Lumi Dental, twilight sedation is administered intravenously by a qualified sedationist in our purpose-built suite. You remain conscious enough to respond to your dentist, but you feel no pain or anxiety, and most patients have little memory of the procedure. This is IV sedation, not general anaesthesia � you breathe on your own throughout.

The sedation takes effect within minutes and wears off quickly after the procedure. Our suite meets all ANZCA PG09(G) safety standards with continuous monitoring throughout.
