Twilight sedation is a form of IV conscious sedation that places you in a deeply relaxed, drowsy state � sometimes described as being "half asleep." At Lumi Dental, twilight sedation is administered intravenously by a qualified sedationist in our purpose-built suite. You remain conscious enough to respond to your dentist, but you feel no pain or anxiety, and most patients have little memory of the procedure. This is IV sedation, not general anaesthesia � you breathe on your own throughout.

We offer same-day provisional crowns for implant patients so you never leave without a tooth. Emergency appointments available. Temporary dentures made on-site for patients undergoing implant treatment.

Twilight sedation is ideal for patients with dental anxiety or phobia, those who need lengthy or complex procedures completed in one visit, patients with a strong gag reflex, and anyone who simply wants a more comfortable experience. The sedation takes effect within minutes and wears off quickly after the procedure. Our suite meets all ANZCA PG09(G) safety standards with continuous monitoring throughout. You will need someone to drive you home. Free sedation consultations available.
