We offer IV sedation for nervous patients and longer treatment, given by a qualified sedationist.

Treatment under IV sedation

A sedative is given through a small cannula in your arm or hand. You become very relaxed and drowsy but can still respond when spoken to. Most people remember little of the appointment afterwards.

Sedation follows the ANZCA PG09(G) guideline, and you are monitored throughout.

Meet the team

Our dentists and oral health therapists care for patients six days a week. Between them they cover everything from routine check-ups and children's care through to implants, aligners and cosmetic work.

We publish our fees, offer payment plans, and do not charge for consults on implants, aligners or cosmetic work.

We explain your options plainly and give you the cost in writing before any treatment starts.

Free consults for bigger treatment

Consults for implants, aligners and cosmetic work are free. They include X-rays, a 3D scan, photos and a written plan.

Fees on the website

New patient exam, clean and X-rays $149. Current fees for every treatment are on our pricing page, and payment plans are available.

Same-day appointments

We keep emergency times free each day. Implant patients can usually have a temporary tooth fitted on the day.

Monday to Wednesday 9am to 6pm, Thursday 9am to 9pm, Friday 9am to 6pm, Saturday 9am to 5pm, Sunday by appointment. Located at Melrose Central with free undercover parking, close to bus routes and major roads.

Who it suits

People who are very nervous about the dentist, people with a strong gag reflex, and anyone having longer treatment such as wisdom teeth or several fillings in one visit.

What to expect

  • A free sedation consult to go through your medical history.
  • An adult must take you home and stay with you for a few hours.
  • No driving or machinery for the rest of the day.

Common questions

Will I be asleep?

No. You are deeply relaxed but can respond. It is not a general anaesthetic.

Is it safe?

It is given by a qualified sedationist with continuous monitoring. Like any medicine it has risks, which we go through with you.

How much does it cost?

$900 for the first hour and $600 for a second hour, on top of the dental treatment fee.
