Composite Edge Bonding

Edge bonding is a cosmetic treatment for patients who already have well-aligned teeth but want to refine the shape, length or symmetry of their smile. Composite resin is applied to the tips and edges of teeth. No drilling, no anaesthetic, same visit.

Who it suits

The ideal candidate

Already straight teeth

Edge bonding works best when teeth are aligned. The treatment refines and finishes the smile rather than correcting position.

Worn or uneven edges

Teeth that have worn down, chipped edges or slight asymmetry are perfect candidates. Edge bonding restores the clean line of your smile.

Post-aligner finishing

Many aligner patients use edge bonding as a final step after treatment, to perfect the shape and symmetry once teeth are in the right position.

No commitment required

Edge bonding requires no drilling and is fully reversible. It’s one of the lowest-risk cosmetic treatments available.

$2,400 for 4 teeth, $3,000 for 6 teeth. Free cosmetic consultation included. Exact fee confirmed at your appointment.

Does it hurt?

No. No drilling, no anaesthetic required in most cases. It's one of the most comfortable cosmetic treatments available.

How long does it last?

5-8 years before a touch-up is typically needed. Avoid biting nails,  using teeth as tools and avoiding poor oral habits to extend the lifespan.

Is it reversible?

Yes. No tooth structure is removed in most cases. Edge bonding is one of the most reversible cosmetic treatments available.

Typically 1-2 hours for a full set. Mostly completed in a single visit with a review appointment. If more teeth are required, more appointments will be needed.

How long is the appointment?

Who is a good candidate?

Patients with straight or recently straightened teeth who want to fix worn, chipped or uneven incisal edges. Often done as a final finishing step after aligner treatment.
